GUATEPHOTO FESTIVAL 2015

The International Festival GuatePhoto reaches its third edition, now with a wider scope and participation.

The cities of Guatemala and Antigua Guatemala will become scenarios dedicated to the contemporary photographic practice during the month of November 2015; gathering some of today's most influential practitioners including established and emergent artists, critics, cultural agents, institutions and the general public.

GuatePhoto aims to educate, promote, document and celebrate contemporary photography through diverse exhibitions, portfolio reviews, forums, workshops, and other dynamic events and positions itself as one of Latin America's top photography festivals.

GuatePhoto provides an extensive educational program which includes talks and round table discussions related to the world of photography and art by established practitioners who will be sharing their experience and points of view with the general audience.

In this edition, the festival also offers guided tours, bike tours, concerts and evening screenings, combining the academic side with an attractive and relaxed atmosphere for participation.

Confirmed participants and exhibitions include, Martin Parr, Luis Gonzalez Palma and Graciela de Oliveira, FotoVisura, Critical Mass Top 50, Arno Raphael Minkinnen, Cotidiano Latino, Foto Feminas, Eadward Muybridge, NY Times Lens Blog, Daylight Magazine, Indie Photobook Library, Festival del Libro, Marcelo Brodsky, Powerhouse Books, Huespedes del Presente, Andy Warhol, Marcos Lopez, among others.
