5th edition of the European Master of Fine Art Photography

Madrid, April 20, 2015 – March 10, 2016

The practical and innovative European Master in Fine Art Photography is a unique programme based on the excellence of its workshop teachers, docents and project tutors. Working with artists such as Cristina de Middel, Elger Esser, Joan Fontcuberta, Andreas Müller-Pohle, Martin Parr and Simon Roberts gives our students access to some of the most prominent masters of the international photography scene. Selected theorists and curators, such as Irina Tchmyreva, Jean François Chevrier, and course director Moritz Neumüller encourage the students to develop their individual vision in a creative and collaborative environment. Finally, the project tutors Ricardo Cases, Nicolas Combarro and Joan Villaplana help them to shape their ideas into a final artistic project, which will be published in a catalogue and showcased by our partner institutions around the globe.

This edition also features the possibility to participate in the newly established exchange program with the renown Chung Ang University in Seoul, during up to 3 months, in addition to the workshops in Madrid. As in our previous edition, the students will join a study trip to London and Bristol, where we will be granted access to the vaults of the Archive of Modern Conflict and Martin Parr’s private collection of photobooks.
