Sotheby's is delighted to announce its upcoming Photographs auction in Paris, coinciding with the Paris Photo fair.

Our previous Photographs auctions have once again confirmed the attraction of the market for this artistic domain. In November 2014 in Paris, Sotheby’s celebrated Photography by raising the work Untitled by Andreas Gursky to the rank of most expensive picture sold in France this year, reaching an amount of €409,500. The 23 May 2015 London sale achieved a total of €2.3M, reinforcing Sotheby’s position on this flourishing market.

We are now accepting consignments until 10 September, and we are currently looking for photographs from Irving Penn, Helmut Newton, Peter Beard, Nobuyoshi Araki, Peter Lindberg, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy and Bernd & Hilla Becher.
