Photography Section at the KÖLNER LISTE 2016

15 – 17 April 2016

KÖLNER LISTE is now welcoming applications for its 2016 edition, that will take place at Carlswerk/Cologne from 15 – 17 April 2016 parallel to Art Cologne, one of Europe’s most important commercial art events.

Galleries, project spaces and foundations with main focus on photography as well as art photographers are invited to apply and present themselves in the newly installed Photography Section.

KÖLNER LISTE – Photography Section
The Photography Section celebrates its debut at KÖLNER LISTE 2016. To offer an international forum to galleries and artists specialized in photography is the aim of this format.

The curator of this new section is the photographer and collector Stefan Maria Rother. The son of the in Essen born artist Thomas Rother studied at the International Centre of Photography in New York and the Lette-Verein Berlin. Besides his work as an independent photographer he leads the degree program for media photography at the School of Entertainment and Technology SET and is a lecturer for photography at the Academy of Arts Berlin-Weissensee.

KÖLNER LISTE – the discovery fair for contemporary art
KÖLNER LISTE is a forum for young, contemporary art with a spotlight on emerging, promising artists whose work is still in a reasonable price bracket ranging between Euro 500 and 7,500.

Besides the traditional Art Cologne public, exhibitors will have a fantastic opportunity to expose new works to young collectors, creatives and lifestyle-orientated art lovers who want to head home with new, original artworks.

KÖLNER LISTE – Location
The architecturally impressive Carlswerk will provide for the first time the KÖLNER LISTE’s location on more than 3.000 square meters. The 130 years old industrial brick buildings host today the largest media and commercial campus in Cologne and are just a stone's throw away from the city center. A shuttle service will be installed between Art Cologne and KOELNER LISTE.

Not only do we invite galleries with a focus on photography and photo artists to apply for the Photography Section but also do we encourage galleries, project spaces and individual artists focusing on any other field of the visual arts to submit their application for the Gallery Section or the Artist Section, which will be curated by Dr. Peter Funken.
