The 45th edition of FIAC will be held in Paris from October 18–21, 2018 and will host 195 galleries in the nave and exhibition rooms of the Grand Palais.The vernissage will take place on Wednesday, October 17.

FIAC Programmes presents, for the duration of the fair, a freely accessible cultural programme of performances, conferences, and artist film screenings.

Parades for FIAC
For its third edition, the performance festival Parades for FIAC, dedicated to performative practices and the dialogue between different disciplines in contemporary art, takes place in various emblematic institutions of the capital. This programme is situated at the crossroads of music, contemporary dance, performance, theatre, and poetry, offering a broad range of artistic experimentation in the form of live actions, opening up new perimeters in the field of artistic performance:

Conversation Room
From Friday, October 19 to Sunday, October 21, FIAC presents a three-day conference programme, entitled Conversation Room, which takes place within the fair, in a dedicated space on the first floor to the right of the grand Escalier d’honneur, showcasing Olivier Vadrot’s CAVEA mobile furniture collection, loaned by Centre National des Arts Plastiques.


Cinéphémère​
FIAC and Fondation d’entreprise Ricard present the ninth edition of the Cinéphémère, a short films programme by artists streamed during FIAC week, from Wednesday, October 17 to Sunday, October 21. Some 30 artists’ films have been selected by associate curator Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez, independent curator, editor and writer. The Cinéphémère will screen a programme conceived by the LOOP Festival on Saturday, October 20 and by the FILAF (Festival International du Livre d’Art et du Film) on Sunday, October 21. The films are screened in open and free access, in a nomad 14-seat movie theatre entirely equipped for this purpose, located on Avenue Winston Churchill, between the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais.

FILAF presents films by: Caroline Alder & Damien Faure, Michel Auder, Louise Lemoine & Ila Bêka, Thomas Lévy-Lasne, Pere Portabella, and Andres Veil.

Outdoor projections
In collaboration with Athem, scenography studio, FIAC inaugurates a new exhibition space with a programme of original artworks by Will Benedict, Claude Closky and Isabelle Cornaro, projected onto the façade of the Grand Palais, from Tuesday, October 16 to Saturday, October 20 from 7pm to 1am.

mk2 Grand Palais
FIAC presents a cycle of feature-length artists’ films and a conference programme in the mk2 Grand Palais Cinema on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th October.
With among other films by: Laure Prouvost, Neil Beloufa, Will Benedict, Leilah Weinraub or the documentary collection Live Art by ARTE.
