OPEN CALL: Athens Photo Festival 2018

Calling photographers worldwide to submit their work

Athens Photo Festival is accepting submissions for its 2018 exhibition program. The selected works will be exhibited from June 6 to July 29 at the Benaki Museum (Pireos St. Annexe), one of the most prestigious museums in Greece.

The Festival seeks to bring together emerging as well as established artists and photographers from all over the world with the aim to reflect the diversity of contemporary photography, and to create opportunities for exchange of ideas, artistic expression and international engagement.

The exhibition program will be comprised of a wide variety of works, selected through this open call for submissions. The call is open to all genres of photography, ranging from fine art to documentary, photo-based installations and videos. The Festival also welcomes submissions for its Photobook Show. To be eligible for inclusion in Festival programming, proposals must be submitted no later than 12 April, 2018.

Athens Photo Festival functions as a dynamic platform where the social impact of the ever-changing visual culture can be raised and discussed. Our program works within an international, national and local context, encompassing a series of solo and group exhibitions as well as a range of events, including portfolio viewings, screenings, talks and discussions, workshops, and various community and participatory projects. In addition to the main venue-based programme, the festival encourages community involvement through satellite exhibitions in various locations in the city.
