The two-part panel features photographers, critics, curators, and magazine editors who discuss fashion photography in our culture, from the commission of photographs through their dissemination in magazines, advertising, and, in some cases, art institutions. Admission is free for School of Visual Arts students. Remaining tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the program. Gallery Talks Fridays, April 30 & May 21, 6:00 p.m. MoMA QNS 33 Street at Queens Boulevard April 30: Susan Kismaric and Eva Respini The exhibition’s cocurators discuss the curatorial process and the relationship between fashion and art photography, in the galleries of the exhibition. May 21: Tina Barney Acclaimed photographer Tina Barney, whose fashion photographs are included in the exhibition, discusses works on view. June 12 and 13 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Fashion Photography Family Art Workshop in the Museum lobby. Children of all ages are invited to fashion their own fiction and create photo collages. This workshop is inspired by MoMA's exhibition Fashioning Fiction in Photography Since 1900. Instant cameras and collage materials will be available for use. Free with Museum admission. 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.              Guided Family Tours of Fashioning Fiction in Photography Since 1900 for 5–12 year olds.
