While a teacher at the Lu Xun fine art institute in Shenyang, an industrial city in the North East of the country, Liu Lihong got interested in his surroundings and intertwined profoundly his art and his life. By assembling scattered fragments of reality, Liu Lihong offers a surrealist image of the city alternating fiction and reality. While showing typical scenes of Shenyang, his pictures take us upon totaly unexpected discoveries witnessing a very personal vision.
