M97 Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in the UNSEEN PHOTO FAIR in Amsterdam. For this year’s edition of UNSEEN, M97 is exhibiting works by Wang Ningde, Adou and Shao Wenhuan.

WANG NINGDE - FORM OF LIGHT
Form of Light is Wang Ningde’s newest series of large-format, three-dimensional photographic installations, for which he received the top two Modern Media Awards announced earlier this month during Photo Shanghai: The Special Contribution award and the Art Photography award. With this series, Wang continues to explore the core fundamental elements of photography: light, paper, materials, image and the nature of “writing with light”, and goes a step further to deconstruct the original image form and representation to later reconstruct it for the viewer as an abstract and inverted photographic mirage.

ADOU - GRASS & LEAVES COLLECTION
M97 is also premiering at UNSEEN five photographs from artist Adou’s newest body of work, titled “Grass and Leaves Collection”. The Grass and Leaves Collection is Adou’s homage to nature and "the unimpressive world beneath our feet” in a series of carefully-composed, hand-printed silver gelatin photographs.

SHAO WENHUAN
Also on view at UNSEEN are Shao Wenhuan’s photography-based, multi-panel creation printed on silk Indefinite…III, as well as the unique piece Green Bloom of Decay No. 24.
Shao Wenhuan holds art degrees from the prestigious China Academy of Art and the École National des Beaux-Arts de Dijon. Shao's works have been exhibited widely in China and abroad, including important museum and biennial exhibitions. His works form part of prestigious collections of Chinese contemporary art around the world, including the Uli Sigg collection.
