fotoprize 2015 – juliette-andréa elie shows her Fading Landscape series
the fotoprize aims to promote young artists by helping students graduated from French art schools to take their first steps in the art world. juliette-andréa elie is the 2015 fotoprize winner.
born in 1985 in auvergne, juliette-andréa graduated from the beaux arts of nantes in 2010. she also completed a master in the print and digital department at the concordia university of montreal in canada between 2006 and 2007.
in her Fading Landscapes series, her main sources of inspiration are her travels, the disappearance and instability of the world.
passionate about photography and drawing, she truly positions herself in a plastic approach through the layering and embossing, hence each of her photographs are composed of three different shots. with secure and poetic aesthetic, juliette-andréa materializes atmospheres and creates a ghostly and evanescent world where each work becomes unique.
new in 2015 : fotowalk, a guided tour to discover photography
