Fotobokfestival Oslo invites to a 10-day programme examining the photobook as an artistic medium and phenomenon through exhibitions, lectures, workshops and much more.
Fotobokfestival Oslo, formerly known as Flere Sider Fotografi (Various Sides of Photography), was established by Forbundet Frie Fotografer (Norwegian Associaton of Fine Art Photographers – FFF) in 2009, aiming to create more awareness, interest and knowledge of the photobook. Fotobokfestival Oslo is now an annual event taking place during September every year. We are proud to present this year's festival programme, which is a result of unique collaborations as part of our efforts to highlight the photobook as an artistic expression.
The shortlisted books from the International Photobook Dummy Award (Fotobookfestival Kassel) and Nordic Dummy Award (Fotogalleriet, Oslo) are exhibited at Fotogalleriet during Fotobokfestival Oslo. In addition to this, the Fotobokfestival Oslo 2015 will also present exhibitions curated by the PhotoBookMuseum (DE), taking place at Youngstorget, Fotogalleriet and Goethe-Institut.
Fotobokfestival Oslo 2015 further collaborates with different institutions in Oslo who have developed more events as part of the festival: Shoot Gallery, MELK Galleri, TM51, Fotografiens Hus and Tronsmo Bokhandel.
