Paris Photo, the premier international art fair for works in the photographic medium, is proud to announce the complete list of 173 galleries and art book dealers as well as a new gallery sector for Paris Photo 2015 at the Grand Palais. The 19th edition is held from November 12–15, 2015.
Advance ticket purchase and guided tour reservations are now available via the Paris Photo shop.
2015 exhibitors
147 galleries and 26 art book dealers from 35 countries worldwide have been carefully selected to provide visitors with the most complete panorama of the medium today. Discover new and returning galleries and see a sneak peak of over 30 solo and duo shows dedicated to historical masters and contemporary talents.
The Salon d’Honneur gallery sector
A new gallery sector will be inaugurated this year dedicated to the exhibition of serial, large format and video works. This ambitious project provides participating galleries with the opportunity to present important works in the prestigious Salon d’Honneur on the upper level of the Grand Palais. Visitors will be able experience oeuvres in their entirety in a curated exhibition space created under the artistic direction of Christoph Wiesner, thanks to the support of our official partner, Giorgio Armani. The first edition privileges the series and introduces video works for the first time at Paris Photo at the Grand Palais. Exhibited artists include: Nobuyoshi Araki, Bae Bien U, Paul Graham, Suzanne Lafont, Daido Moriyama, Rosalind Fox Solomon, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, and Walker Evans.
Public programming
Accentuating the cultural and social dynamic of the fair, Paris Photo offers visitors an innovative programme reuniting key figures in the art world in promotion of the medium.
The Private Collection exhibition, highlighting the vision and pioneering role of private collectors, honors Italian collector Enea Righi with a presentation of photographic works by artists including Cy Twombly, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Joan Jonas, Nan Goldin, and Sanja Ivekovic, among others. The Private Collection exhibition program is supported by J.P. Morgan.
The Platform is a daily programme of conversations, panel discussions, organized by invited curators and art world professionals. The 2015 Platform is organized around three axes: The collection (Lisa Erf, J.P. Morgan Chase Art Collection); photography after the crisis (Donatien Grau, Oxford University); and the relationship between photography and artists’ books (Chistophe Boutin, onestar press & Three Star Books).
Paris Photo—Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards
Paris Photo in partnership with Aperture Foundation announce the 35 shortlist nominees for the 4th annual PhotoBook Awards. The selected works will be exhibited at the Fair and winners for the three categories will be announced Friday, November 13 at 1pm.
