Greg Gorman, born in 1949 in Kansas City, is considered to be one of the greatest photographers of our time. Gorman’s work has been published in numerous magazines and many top-class advertising campaigns are his work. He became particularly well-known for his nude photographs and photos of film and pop stars, which have been introduced in numerous books and exhibitions. When he is not travelling, Greg Gorman lives in Los Angeles and Mendocino, California. In 2012 his works were shown in Halle 8 in Graz. It was the largest exhibition of his works in his life so far.

However, it is usually not easy for photographers who want to learn from Gorman because the American’s workshops are rare and usually fully-booked very quickly. In June 2016 Atelier Jungwirth, Graz, will be organizing four workshops with Greg Gorman at unique locations – in Austria (Southern Styria), in Italy (Milan), in Provence and in Catalonia.

After the resounding success of the 2012 and 2015 workshops, Gorman will thus be back in Austria. As regards content, Greg Gorman deals with the areas which have made him famous throughout the world in the workshops – portrait photography and nude photography. The participants learn the secrets of his light- ing and can take photographs of models under the direction of the star. Interested persons should get in touch with us quickly in order to book one of the limited places at the workshop in the location of their choice.

Greg Gorman, 1949 in Kansas City geboren, gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Fotografen der Gegenwart. Gormans Arbeiten waren in unzähligen Magazinen zu sehen, auch viele hochkarätige Werbekampagnen stammen von ihm. Besonders bekannt wurde er durch seine Aktfotografien und durch Aufnahmen von Film- und Popstars, die in zahlreichen Büchern und Ausstellungen präsentiert wurden. Greg Gorman lebt, wenn er nicht gerade auf Reisen ist, in Los Angeles und Mendocino, Kalifornien. 2012 waren seine Arbeiten in der Halle 8 in Graz zu sehen. Es war die größte Werkschau seines Lebens.

Fotografen, die von Gorman lernen wollen, haben es normalerweise nicht leicht. Denn die Workshops des Amerikaners sind rar und meistens rasch ausgebucht.

Für Juni 2016 organisiert das Atelier Jungwirth aus Graz vier Workshops mit Greg Gorman an einzigartigen Orten: in Österreich (Südsteiermark), in Italien (Mailand), in der Provence und in Katalonien.

Nach dem großen Erfolg der Workshops in den Jahren 2012 und 2015 kehrt Gorman damit erneut nach Österreich zurück. Inhaltlich beschäftigt sich Greg Gorman in den Workshops mit den Gebieten, die ihn weltweit bekannt gemacht haben: mit Porträt- und Aktfotografie. Die Teilnehmer lernen die Geheimnisse seiner Lichtführung kennen und können selbst unter Anleitung des Stars Models fotografieren. Interessierte sollten sich rasch melden, um einen der limitierten Plätze in einem Workshop an einem Ort ihrer Wahl zu bekommen.
