A selection of works by French Photographer Lucien Clergue and German Photographer Karin Székessy will be on display at the Galerie Beim Engel. Lucien Clergue, who died in 2014 at the age of 80, was one of the founders of the Rencontres d’Arles. Clergue’s work encloses landscapes, portraits (e.g. Picasso and Cocteau) and still-lifes. He is best known for his "Nus zébrés". With the magic of her camera mastership, Karin Székessy, born in 1938, creates eroticisms that convey the pleasure she finds in beauty and its transformation into two dimensions. In her work, she emphasizes the perfection of the torso, the grace of the limbs and the harmony of the forms.
