Foam proudly presents Foam Talent at Red Hook Labs in Brooklyn, New York. A group exhibition bringing together 24 innovative image makers under the age of 35. It’s the first time that Foam brings its selection of Foam Talents to New York. The exhibition will take place during the 37th edition of The Photography Show (presented by AIPAD).

Every year Foam organises the Foam Talent Call to identify young and international talents. From a total of 1.494 submissions from 75 different countries, across 6 continents, 24 photographers were selected to be featured in the annual Foam Magazine Talent Issue. The exhibition Foam Talent, developed with work from the latest Talent Issue, brings together the work of an international young generation of artists. From a poetic, new perspective on masculinity in the American West by American photographer Sam Contis to the colourful photographic constructions of the South-African artist Nico Krijno - with each portfolio the selected artists prove to have very distinct and unique visions within a variety of photographic genres. Within this exhibition Foam presents its view on the current state of photography and creates a platform that introduces emerging talents in the international world of photography.

Participating artists are: Sofia Ayarzagoitia (MX), Juno Calypso (UK), Bubi Canal (ES/US), Paolo Ciregia (IT), Sam Contis (US), Jack Davison (UK), Nicolo Degiorgis (IT), Katinka Goldberg (SE/NO), Andrea Grützner (DE), Samuel Gratacap (FR), Maxime Guyon (FR), Felicity Hammond  (UK), Alexandra Hunts (UA/NL), Taejoong Kim (KR), Nico Krijno (ZA), Leo Maguire (UK), Stefanie Moshammer (AT), Andrés Felipe Orjuela (CO), Antonio Ottomanelli (IT), Daan Paans (NL), Louise Parker (US), Andrejs Strokins (LV), Ilona Szwarc (PL/US) and Daisuke Yokota (JP).

With more than 100 photographs, varying from reinterpretations of advertorial photography to socially engaged series, conceptual photojournalism and several photo-objects, the exhibition showcases a new generation of inspiring artists who deploy their skills to address topics ranging from urgent political events to playful reflections on the nature and history of the photographic medium.

Foam Magazine #45 (Talent) serves as an exhibition catalogue, featuring portfolios and biographies on the 24 photographers, plus extensive texts by several leading international experts.
