During the European month of photography, Wild Project Gallery is eager to present one of the last series of Cédric Delsaux under the exhibition title Dark Celebration. The Series Underground Society (2013-2015) continues his exploration of recurring anxieties of humanity by plunging places and figures in a troubling obscurity. Shipwrecked and abandoned to their fate, the survivors of the Underground Society unveil current fears and obsessions made up of apocalyptic visions where catastrophes, tragedies and breakdowns follow each other without respite. But, after all, it could be that the Underground Society is perhaps only a feeling, an elusive state of mute astonishment and suffocation, a latent presence about to break out or a distant fear as ancient as the end of the world that we were promised for soon, but is still late to come.

Dans le cadre du Mois de la photographie à Luxembourg, la Wild Project Gallery présente une des dernières séries de Cédric Delsaux sous le titre de Dark Celebration. La série Underground Society (2013-2015), inédite à ce jour, poursuit son exploration des angoisses récurrentes de l’Humanité en plongeant les lieux comme les personnages de la série dans une troublante obscurité. Naufragés, abandonnés à leur sort, les survivants de l’Underground Society rendent visibles les hantises actuelles faites de devenirs apocalyptiques où catastrophes, tragédies et effondrements se succèdent sans répit. Mais, après tout, l’Underground Society n’est peut-être qu’une sensation, un état de sidération et de suffocation, une présence latente sur le point d’advenir, ou encore une peur lointaine, aussi vieille que cette fin du monde qu’on nous promet pour bientôt et qui tarde encore à venir.
