Foam Magazine wins Lucie Award
Photography Magazine of the Year

Last weekend Foam Magazine was announced as winner of the Lucie Award for Photography Magazine of the Year at Carnegie Hall, New York City. The Lucie Awards is the premiere annual event honoring the greatest achievements in photography.
The Lucie Awards are presented by the Lucie Foundation, a charitable organisation whose mission is to honor master photographers, discover and cultivate emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of photography worldwide.

Foam Magazine
Foam Magazine is an international photography magazine published three times a year around a specific theme. The magazine serves as a platform for all kinds of photography: from documentary to fashion and contemporary to historic, featuring both world-renowned image makers and relatively unknown emerging talent. Each issue contains multiple portfolios printed on carefully considered paper. Interviews and opinions by experts in the field of photography are combined with surprising and distinctive editorial choices.

Amsterdam
Foam Magazine connects a global network of photographers, photography enthusiasts and professionals and is available worldwide. The magazine is a publication of Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam.

Recent Issue: Foam Magazine #48 Talent
The most recent issue of Foam Magazine is the annual Talent Issue. Featuring the work of 20 outstanding young artists selected through the annual Foam Talent Call, Foam Magazine #48: Talent is an inspiring overview of the developments being made by a new generation of gifted image-makers from around the world. Each portfolio published in the Talent Issue is accompanied by a critical essay offering further insight into the nature and concept of the project.

The Foam Talent exhibition, based on the annual Foam Magazine Talent Issue, is now on show at Foam in Amsterdam (until 12 November) and will tour internationally to cities such as Paris, New York and London in 2018. On Thursday 9 November, Foam presents the work of the 2017 Foam Talents for a one-off installation at Atelier Néerlandais, Paris.

On Thursday 9 November, Foam presents the work of the 2017 Foam Talents for a one-off installation at Atelier Néerlandais, Paris.

The recently renovated walls of 18th century Lévis-Mirepoix, where Atelier Néerlandais is situated, will now project the myriad of photographic work by 20 image makers.

Each year Foam Magazine brings together a worldwide open call for exceptionally talented photographers between the ages of 18 and 35. The work of the selected artists is published in the annual Foam Magazine Talent Issue, alongside a travelling group exhibition. Over the years Foam’s Talent programme has created a platform that introduces emerging talents into an international world and enables them to launch their careers.

Paris-based DJ Oko Ebombo will be playing throughout the evening. We look forward to seeing you during Paris Photo.
