Power and ritual
Exhibition: 16 Apr – 31 May 2004
This exhibition presents the young german photographer Bernd Arnold. His collection of black and white images captures the most diverse ceremonies and rituals: religious, profane, political and nonsensical. The Catholic church is seen as a system of salvation, politicians as purveyors of rhetoric and the media as a tool to manipulate consumers. There are amusement parks, pimps and prostitutes. . . The exhibition shows an undistorted reflection of the exploitation human vulnerability.
