Liza Ambrossio is a Mexican artist who lives and works in Madrid. In 2018, she won the Voies Off Award (Arles) and the FNAC New Talent Award (Spain), and in 2017 the Discoveries award of the PHotoEspaña festival and La Fábrica. Her very personal series "The rage of devotion" shows images combining her family archive with pictorial canvases, inviting us to immerse into her emotional state.

Born in Berlin in 1908, Gisèle Freund was one of Europe’s most prominent photographers and a pillar among French feminist intellectuals after fleeing Nazi Germany and settling in Paris, where she pursued her doctoral studies at the Sorbonne She arrived in Mexico in 1950, where she met Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. She became close to the mythical couple and created the touching series on display.

Ada Trillo is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Philadelphia. Having grown-up in Juarez, Mexico, she is deeply troubled by the social problems affecting women of the border towns. Her series "How did I get here?" centers on the lives of low-cost sex workers in Mexico. Recently her photographs have been included in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
