Silence. Сalmness. Quietude. In the world where sound turns into noise, in the world where cries and groans are heard from everywhere, silence becomes a reward and a respite. In 2018 colleagues happened to dedicate their exhibitions to noise / contemporary music / sound future. We chose to hear the silence. Being focused on the image. It is said that sound supports the visual, makes it more dynamic, more emotional. We want to contemplate the image in silence, hearing its utmost expressiveness, embodied in gestures, in speechless faces, in the purity of landscapes.

The history of silence in the culture of mankind has been connected with spiritual practices. Silence of the spirit has been sought by the great masters. Silence gives sobriety of vision, contemplation of the present not covered by sound. That’s what photography aspires. And so do we.
