The Exhibition has been supported by the National Art Foundation. The theme is “The Mystery of Simple images—Space Conversion of Photographic Images in Artificial Intelligence Age”. This is another extended discussion following the themes of the Last two exhibitions. The exhibition will be held at Tsinghua University, Hebei University of Science and Technology, and Tianjin Art Museum.

The aim is to explore the expended significance and new aesthetic possibilities of photography as a kind of art after the intervention of new technology media, by researching complex relationship between “photographic art” and “artificial intelligence era”. In the process, the reading method of the traditional photographic art will change with the variation of the method with which the new reading medium is presented. The Process of shooting and the new deconstruction and reorganization of the reading logic is a new experiment and exploration of the transformation from “planar rendering” to “physical space occupation”.

Besides, the application of new imaging technology and the new image functions produced from it will establish close relationship with the development of society. As a result, today, the challenge of photographic art must be the progress of technology and the new artistic thoughts generated by the sudden change of supply and demand in contemporary image culture.
The exhibition will explore the following three contents in such a large historical context: How to face the changes in the art pattern after the intervention of new technologies; Changes in the methods of reading from the Information Age to the Artificial Intelligence Age; Changes in photographic art strategies after the blurring of scientific and technological goals.
