Humankind reached an unprecedented moment in planetary history. Humans now affect the Earth and its processes more than all other natural forces combined. The "Anthropocene Project" is a multidisciplinary body of work combining fine art photography, film, virtual reality, augmented reality, and scientific research to investigate human influence on the state, dynamic, and future of the Earth.

Galerie Springer Berlin is showing a high-quality selection of new photographs from the "Anthropocene Project".

The entire body of work is currently being shown simultaneously at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada. The documentary film "The Anthropocene: The Human Epoch" by Jennifer Baichwal, Nicholas de Pencier and Edward Burtynsky will soon be shown in cinemas.

The book "The Anthropocene" has just been published by Steidl in Göttingen.

Die Menschheit hat einen prekären Zeitpunkt in der Geschichte des von ihr bewohnten Planeten erreicht. Ihr Einfluss auf die Erde ist stärker als alle Naturkräfte zusammen! Den Zustand, die Dynamik und die Zukunft der Erde unter dem Einfluss der von Menschen geschaffenen Veränderungen untersucht das umfassende Projekt "The Anthropocene" von Edward Burtynsky. Darin hat er eine multidisziplinäre Werkgruppe aus Fotografie, Film, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality und wissenschaftlicher Arbeit geschaffen.

Die Galerie Springer Berlin zeigt eine hochrangige Auswahl von neuen Fotografien aus der Serie "The Anthropocene".

Die gesamte Werkgruppe wird zur Zeit simultan in der Art Gallery of Ontario und der National Gallery of Canada gezeigt. Der Dokumentarfilm "The Anthropocene: The Human Epoch" von Jennifer Baichwal, Nicholas de Pencier und Edward Burtynsky wird in Kürze in den Kinos zu sehen sein.

Das Buch "The Anthropocene" ist gerade im Steidl Verlag, Göttingen erschienen.
