On the occasion of the release by Mack of 'The Complete Papers', an extensive monograph encompassing all of Thomas Demand’s work over the past 28 years, the German photographer will be in conversation at LE BAL with the writer Maylis de Kerangal for an exceptional launch event. The talk will be preceded by a signing of his new publication at the bookshop.

The Complete Papers is an extensive catalogue raisonné encompassing all of Thomas Demand’s work, primary texts written about his practice, as well as previously unseen early works from 1990. Published by Mack, this book is the primary authority on the work of one of the major photographers of the 21st century. The conversation with French writer Maylis de Kerangal will be structured around the trajectory and the artistic practice of the multidisciplinary artist, primarily known for his photographs of pristine 3D models figuring real, often politically charged spaces.
