For Art Karlsruhe 2019, Galerie—Peter—Sillem is delighted to present a One-Artist-Show by Frank Mädler, featuring a selection of works from his more recent oeuvre and including his latest body of work, a series of large format colour photograms.
"Mädler neither serves cool formalism (which sees only a stripe in the sky and a line in the horizon) nor does he believe that reality can be depicted. For all its formal beauty, his work does not explore the line or the stripe itself, but the view of the astonished, the dreamer, the impartial (…) at the world. If these photographs tell of anything, it's about how one could see things."
- Tanja Dückers
