This exhibition celebrates the work of the photographer Tony Ray-Jones (1941-1972) who, having lived a short lift just past the age of 30, developed an artistic trajectory that enabled him to leave an important legacy that is still unknown by many. His approach to street photography was an inflection point in England during the mid-60s.
Upon his return from the US in 1965, Tony Ray-Jones found an England that was undergoing important social changes. Knowledgeable about the local customs and conscience of the influence that American culture was having on Europe, the fresh eye of Ray-Jones, sharpened by his time abroad, lead him to document the inequality of English society with humor and above all, a critical outlook.
