With "HABITAT: BERLIN–CHARLOTTENBURG", Anne Schönharting presents her first solo exhibition in France at the Goethe-Institut Bordeaux.

Initially shown at the Haus am Kleistpark and the Villa Oppenheim in Berlin, the exhibition can now be seen abroad for the first time. The portrait series is a milieu study carried out over 10 years (2012-2022). Schönharting offers fascinating insights into the lives and surroundings of her subjects. The exhibition is characterized by a subtle image composition as well as natural lighting.

It is accompanied by the book of the same name, published by Hartmann Books.

Anne Schönharting, a member of the Ostkreuz agency since 1999, was born in Meissen (GDR) in 1973 and now lives and works in Berlin-Pankow. Her focus is portrait and artistic documentary photography.

Photography, design and architecture are thematic focal points at the Goethe-Institut Bordeaux, in both the cultural and educational programs. Every year, up to 3 contemporary photography exhibitions are shown in the spacious rooms of the city villa.

Mit der Serie "HABITAT: BERLIN–CHARLOTTENBURG" präsentiert sich Anne Schönharting in ihrer ersten Einzelausstellung in Frankreich im Goethe-Institut Bordeaux. Nach ersten Stationen im Haus am Kleistpark und in der Villa Oppenheim in Berlin, ist die Ausstellung nun erstmalig im Ausland zu sehen. Die Portraitserie ist eine über 10 Jahre (2012-2022) entstandene Milieustudie. Sie bietet faszinierende Einblicke in die Lebensräume und Kontexte der Individuen und wird von einer subtilen Bildkomposition sowie natürlichem Licht geprägt.

Die Ausstellung wird von dem gleichnamigen Buch begleitet, erschienen bei Hartmann Books.

Anne Schönharting, seit 1999 Mitglied der Agentur Ostkreuz, wurde 1973 in Meißen (DDR) geboren, sie lebt und arbeitet in Berlin-Pankow. Sie konzentriert sich auf Porträt- und künstlerische Dokumentarfotografie.
