Photo Days and Paris je t'aime – Tourist Office have joined forces since 2021 to launch the Paris je t'aime × Photo Days Photography Award.

For this year’s edition, the call for entries is open until October 30, 2023.

Endowed with €15,000 and an exhibition in Paris in 2024, the Grand Prix is targeted towards France based artists and professionals, with the theme "Paris, Games".

Philosophers have long been struck by the interdependence of games and culture. Games are a fundamental pillar of community life, fostering social relations, territorial links, education, inclusion and diversity, among other things. Paris will be the Games Capital in 2024.

The photographic approach is entirely at the Participant's discretion.

The Prize

* A grant of 15 000€
* An exhibition of the project at a venue in Paris chosen by Paris je t’aime – Office de tourisme

Schedule

* Applications close on 30 October 2023 at midnight.
* Announcement of the winner will be in November 2023.
* Submission of the project in September 2024.
* Exposition du Grand Prix en novembre 2024 à SPOT24.

Application

* The prize is open to established artists and professional photographers of all nationalities.
* The project submitted must be new and original. The photographs must not have been presented or exhibited in other media (book, portfolio, website, exhibition) or submitted to other photography competitions; it may nevertheless have been the subject of various prior research which may be presented in the application.

The application file must include:
* A written presentation of the artist's work (1500 characters max.) and a C.V. (with a link to the artist's website)
* 2-page project presentation (max. 3000 characters) including a technical description of the final works envisaged (formats, techniques)
* 10 images (JPG, 300 dpi, medium quality compression), showing characteristic works by the artist
* Letter of commitment from the artist to complete the work by the end of September 2024 at the latest
* Rules and regulations signed

The application must be sent in digital form to the e-mail address: grandprix@photodays.paris
No later than midnight on October 30.

A receipt will be sent to candidates by e-mail by 1 October at the latest.

The winner will be announced by the end of November 2023.

Paris je t’aime – Office de tourisme, en partenariat avec Photo Days, lancent la deuxième édition du Grand Prix de Photo Paris je t’aime × Photo Days.

Le Grand Prix Paris je t’aime × Photo Days a pour mission de soutenir et récompenser les grands talents de la photographie et a pour objectif de créer sur le long terme un ensemble de visions complémentaires sur la Ville de Paris.

Pour son édition 2023, le thème proposé est "Paris, Jeux".

Il y a longtemps déjà que les philosophes ont été frappés par l'interdépendance des jeux et de la culture. Le jeu est un pilier fondamental de la vie en collectivité puisqu’il favorise, entre autres, les rapports sociaux, les liens territoriaux, l’éducation, l’inclusion ou encore la mixité. Paris sera la capitale du Jeu en 2024.

L’approche photographique est entièrement laissée à la discrétion du Participant.

Le Prix

* Une dotation de 15 000€
* Une exposition de tout ou partie du projet dans un lieu choisi par Paris je t’aime – Office de tourisme

Calendrier

* Clôture des candidatures le 30 octobre 2023 à minuit.
* Annonce du lauréat en novembre 2023.
* Remise du projet en septembre 2024.
* Exposition du Grand Prix en novembre 2024 à SPOT24.

Candidature

* Le prix est ouvert aux artistes confirmés et aux photographes professionnels, toutes nationalités confondues.
* Le projet présenté doit impérativement être nouveau et original. Les photographies ne doivent pas avoir été présentées ni exposées sur d’autres supports (livre, portfolio, site web, exposition) ni soumises à d’autres concours de photographie ; il peut néanmoins avoir fait l’objet de diverses recherches préalables qui pourront être présentées dans le dossier.

Le dossier de candidature doit être composé de :

* Présentation du travail de l’artiste rédigée (1500 signes max.) et un C.V. (avec un lien vers le site internet de l’artiste).
* Présentation du projet sur 2 pages (3000 signes max) comprenant un descriptif technique des œuvres finales envisagées (formats, techniques).
* 10 images (JPG, 300 dpi, compression qualité moyenne), présentant des œuvres caractéristiques de l’artiste.
* Lettre d’engagement de l’artiste à terminer le travail au plus tard avant la fin septembre 2024.
* Règlement signé

Le dossier doit être envoyé sous forme numérique à l’adresse mail : grandprix@photodays.paris

Au plus tard le 30 octobre à minuit.
Un récépissé sera envoyé aux candidats par e-mail au plus tard le 1er octobre.
