Milan honours Gabriele Basilico with an exhibition at Triennale, offering a wide selection of images of his native city, and one at Palazzo Reale, on the most important works commissioned from the photographer. The Triennale show brings together a series of projects, including Basilico’s take on the Milanese suburbs in the 1970s, the reportage on factories (1978–1980), the documentation of Milanese modernist architecture (1985), the project on the city by night realized for the AEM (Azienda Elettrica Municipale) (1989), and the works for the construction of the Porta Nuova district (from 2004 to 2012). A selection of images held by the Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea in Cinisello Balsamo will also be on display.
