Elsa Hammarén, born in 1999 in Gothenburg, Sweden, graduated from ICP’s One-Year Certificate Program in Creative Practices in May 2024. During her time at ICP, she began a project with her muse, Andie, exploring themes of self, play, sexuality, performance, and power. This work reflects not only Hammarén’s fascination with Andie as an individual but also her broader curiosity about the concept of the “muse.” As the project has evolved, it has become increasingly collaborative, with Andie contributing her voice on how she wishes to be seen. Meanwhile, Hammarén is discovering ways in which the project mirrors her own self-reflection, adding layers of personal resonance.

Hammarén’s upcoming exhibition, titled Andie, Darling, will take place in Paris on November 9–10 during Paris Photo, at 51 Rue des Trois Frères. The exhibition will include silver gelatin prints and color inkjet prints within a studio apartment transformed into an immersive exhibition space.
