In The Creative Body: Photographs 2014 – 2024 , Martin Parr Foundation brings together a collection of works from the last decade by photographer Siân Davey, in her first survey exhibition.

This show presents photography from Siân’s three major series, Looking For Alice (2013-2018), Martha (2015 – 2016) and The Garden (2021 – 2023), alongside lesser known portraits from  Communion, made at festivals across the UK.

Coming to photography after a career in psychotherapy, Siân’s work subtly observes the daily rituals of family life, with an awareness of the human struggle for connection, whilst posing questions around the bond between artist and subject. Her photographic work over the past decade has consolidated her place as one of Britain’s foremost photographers working today.
