The artistic practice of Marina Planas Antich focuses on deciphering the relationship between tourism and visual memory. By working with photographic archives and postcards, she examines the transformation of natural and cultural landscapes through tourism exploitation. Her critical approach addresses themes such as sustainability, cultural appropriation, and the shifting narratives of identity, encouraging viewers to reflect on the consequences of mass tourism. Marina combines contemporary practices with documentary techniques, creating spaces for dialogue on social responsibility and the preservation of collective memory.

This workshop invites participants to reflect on the impact of tourism on urban and identity spaces. Through critical analysis, discussions will focus on how images construct and transform our perception of territories and national identity. Participants will explore touristified spaces through a photographic conceptual framework, using the postcard as a starting point, to create a collective work in the form of a visual archive.

Members 650€, non members 750€ Marina Planas Antich is a visual artist and photographer based in Mallorca. Her work focuses on the critical analysis of mass tourism’s impact on cultural and natural landscapes. By activating her family’s photographic archive, the "Planas Archive," she explores territorial transformations and collective memory. She has exhibited her work at national and international events such as the Cortona Fest, Houston Foto Fest, and LensCulture, fostering debates on sustainability, tourism, and cultural heritage preservation. In 2024, she was awarded the Contemporary Photography Prize by the Consell de Mallorca.

Die künstlerische Praxis von Marina Planas Antich konzentriert sich darauf, die Beziehung zwischen Tourismus und visueller Erinnerung zu entschlüsseln. Durch die Arbeit mit Fotoarchiven und Postkarten untersucht sie die Transformation von natürlichen und kulturellen Landschaften durch die touristische Ausbeutung. Ihr kritischer Ansatz behandelt Themen wie Nachhaltigkeit, kulturelle Aneignung und die Veränderung von Identitätserzählungen und lädt den Betrachter dazu ein, über die Auswirkungen des Massentourismus nachzudenken. Die Künstlerin kombiniert zeitgenössische Praktiken mit dokumentarischen Techniken und schafft Räume für einen Dialog über soziale Verantwortung und die Bewahrung des kollektiven Gedächtnisses.

Der Workshop lädt dazu ein, über die Auswirkungen von Tourismus auf urbane und identitäre Räume nachzudenken. Anhand einer kritischen Analyse wird diskutiert, wie Bilder unsere Wahrnehmung des Territoriums und der nationalen Identität konstruieren und transformieren. Die Teilnehmer werden anschließend – ausgehend von der Postkarte – touristifizierte Räume untersuchen und ein gemeinsames Werk in Form eines visuellen Archivs entwickeln.

Marina Planas Antich ist eine bildende Künstlerin und Fotografin mit Sitz auf Mallorca, deren Arbeit sich auf die kritische Analyse der Auswirkungen des Massentourismus auf die kulturelle und natürliche Landschaft konzentriert. Durch die Aktivierung des Fotoarchivs ihrer Familie, des "Planas-Archivs", erforscht sie die Veränderung von Territorien und das kollektive Gedächtnis.
