Designated Winner of the Prix Elysée last June by a jury of international experts, Hannah Darabi is unveiling the first chapter of Why Don’t You Dance? on the Photo Elysée booth. Mixing her photographs with images from a variety of sources, the Iranian artist explores dance as a cultural element whose significance can change depending on the social ad political context in which it takes place. Ultimately comprising three chapters focusing on popular dance figures in Iran and its diaspora, this new project will be published and exhibited at Photo Elysée in June 2026.
The Prix Elysée is an international prize that supports photographic creation organized by Photo Elysée thanks to the support of Parmigiani Fleurier.
