We are thrilled to announce the opening of Ibrahim Ahmed’s second solo exhibition at TINTERA. Curated by Ahmed Shawky Hassan ‘where two oceans meet’, reorients Ahmed’s work within the space of the gallery. New collages from Ahmed’s ongoing exploration of masculinity are released from their traditional framed position on the wall inviting viewers to move around it and encounter it from shifting perspectives. Meaning emerges gradually through movement, time and the body, making viewing both a physical and reflective experience.

TINTERA is a photographic consultancy with a gallery space in Zamalek, Cairo and an office in London. Our aim is to raise the profile of both contemporary and historical photography in and of Egypt through a program of curated exhibitions, events and research projects. We represent artists from Egypt and elsewhere, emerging and established, with Egypt being the common inspiration in their work. We manage significant private photograph collections and advise on the acquisition and sales of photographic art.
