Vienna Digital Cultures is an art, performance and discourse platform that has been exploring the cultural impact of digital technologies since 2025. At its core is an annual festival that brings together international artists, experts and communities to reflect on the present moment shaped by digital transformation. This is complemented by an annual exhibition and an ongoing web presence, which provides a space for artistic, curatorial and academic contributions. Vienna Digital Cultures is organised on a rotating basis each year by FOTO ARSENAL WIEN and Kunsthalle Wien.

The 2026 edition of VDC opens on May 21, 2026 at FOTO ARSENAL WIEN, unfolding with an extensive program during the opening weekend from 22 to 24 May. Across exhibition spaces, public locations, and digital platforms, VDC 2026 will present installations, performances, talks, screenings, and club nights. The accompanying exhibition will be on view at FOTO ARSENAL WIEN from May 22 to September 6, 2026.

Vienna Digital Cultures ist eine Plattform für Kunst, Performance und Diskurs, die sich seit 2025 mit den kulturellen Auswirkungen digitaler Technologien auseinandersetzt. Im Zentrum steht ein jährliches Festival, das internationale Künstler*innen, Expert*innen und Communities zusammenbringt, um den gegenwärtigen, von digitaler Transformation geprägten Moment zu reflektieren. Ergänzt wird dies durch eine jährliche Ausstellung sowie eine kontinuierliche Webpräsenz, die Raum für künstlerische, kuratorische und wissenschaftliche Beiträge bietet. Vienna Digital Cultures wird jährlich im Wechsel von FOTO ARSENAL WIEN und der Kunsthalle Wien organisiert.

Die Ausgabe 2026 von VDC eröffnet am 21. Mai 2026 im FOTO ARSENAL WIEN und entfaltet sich mit einem umfangreichen Programm während des Eröffnungswochenendes vom 22. bis 24. Mai. Über Ausstellungsräume, öffentliche Orte und digitale Plattformen hinweg präsentiert VDC 2026 Installationen, Performances, Vorträge, Screenings und Clubnächte. Die begleitende Ausstellung ist vom 22. Mai bis 6. September 2026 im FOTO ARSENAL WIEN zu sehen.
