More than 30 photography exhibitions caught between war, the climate crisis and hope

Cooper & Gorfer, César Dezfuli, Ciril Jazbec, Tânia Dinis and Eurico Lino do Vale are some of the names featured in the programme of Portugal’s oldest photography festival and one of the oldest in Europe. The 36th edition of Encontros da Imagem takes place in Braga, Guimarães, Porto, Avintes and Vila Verde.

Under the theme Imagined Territories | Enchanted Lands, the programme offers different ways of looking at, imagining and questioning the world we inhabit, through works that span different geographies, histories and forms of relationship between human and non-human worlds.
