The 2026 edition will bring together 76 solo presentations, 17 duos and 101 group presentations.

Paris Photo returns to the Grand Palais from November 12 to 15, 2026, bringing together 246 exhibitors from 38 countries, including 199 galleries and 48 publishers. For its 29th edition, the fair welcomes 80 new participants. Spread across five sectors, it offers an international panorama of the medium, from historical works to the most recent practices.

The Bicentenary of photography is one of the common threads of this edition. Rather than a retrospective celebration, Paris Photo offers a reading of the medium that questions its history, technical developments and new forms. At the heart of the nave, the Main sector brings together 152 international galleries. Several galleries specializing in vintage photography, including Gilles Peyroulet, Bruno Tartarin and Hans P. Kraus Jr., highlight the origins of the medium. Hans P. Kraus Jr. presents works made using the oldest processes signed by some of the very first practitioners, including Louis Daguerre, William Henry Fox Talbot, Anna Atkins, or Girault de Prangey. Contemporary projects extend this celebration. Christophe Gaillard presents a solo show by Isabelle le Minh, whose work explores the history, forms and limits of the medium, while Binome Gallery shows a selection of works that test the medium’s materiality. A program dedicated to the Bicentenary traces these different proposals throughout the fair.

Visitors entering the Grand Palais are welcomed with a monumental installation dedicated to Thomas Ruff. The work, displayed in a 36-meter-long retrospective installation in collaboration with five galleries – David Zwirner, Konrad Fischer, Mai 36, Lia Rumma, Sprüth Magers –, retraces more than forty years of creation. A major figure of the Düsseldorf School, Thomas Ruff has been exploring the possibilities of photography since the 1980s through a large variety of subjects and techniques, from analog images to digital simulations.

This year’s pairings include Ion Grigorescu and B. Wurtz at Gregor Podnar, Jo Ann Callis and Tania Franco Klein at ROSEGALLERY and Kusukazu Uraguchi and Laure Winants at Écho 119.
