From November 11 to 14, more than eighty galleries across New York’s Chelsea, Tribeca, the Lower East Side, and the Upper East Side will open their doors for a single, citywide event: The inaugural edition of Art Week NYC, presented by Artforum, ARTnews, and Art in America.

Art Week NYC flips the emphasis of the fair model back to where it matters most: the physical galleries themselves. With its participating galleries and over twenty-five institutions, Art Week’s programming spans the full range of the city's art ecosystem, from the emerging galleries downtown, through the Chelsea stalwarts, up to the heritage galleries of the Upper East Side.

Art Week spans four days of events, including three days of openings and neighborhood-organized activations—all running concurrent to the ADAA fair. Artforum has planned a full day of public programming hosted by the New Museum, bringing together artists, curators, novelists, and critics for live conversations. ARTnews and Art in America will also stage a Midtown hub featuring talks, interviews, and sponsor activations, with conversations focused on developments in the art market.
