The exhibition "goEurope: the kaleidoscopic eye" was conceived and organized jointly by the Museum für Photographie in Braunschweig, Germany, and the magazine European Photography, Göttingen. Thirty-three curators in thirty-three european countries were invited to nominate each one young photographer from their country, to represent his / her country with a contemporary - at most three to four-year-old work. This procedure is one wich harbours both opportunities and risks, but which in any event results in a colorful and surprising mix. It originates a mosaic of varying techniques, aesthetics and ideas, that reflects the situation of the medium photography at the turn of the millennium and besides that the characteristics of Europe. The exhibition "goEurope: the kaleidoscopic eye" was conceived and organized jointly by the Museum für Photographie in Braunschweig, Germany, and the magazine European Photography, Göttingen.
