The sea, the harbour and the river play an important role in the photoworks of Leo Divendal (Heemstede, 1947). Endless variations of the horizon, often loved by a single ship, a cloud or a rock. Within the broad spectrum of this theme, Waterfronts shows a new series of works about shifting. In Waterfronts even more than in previous projects, Divendal focuses on movement that is suggested by presenting connected works as a diptyches, triptyches or even a quintych.
