David Renggli (Zürich, 1974) The artistic concept of David Renggli is based on the conviction that contemporary still life should be more than an obvious grouping of objects of the 'nature-morte'. His staged sculptural groupings of everyday objects exist both as installations, and as photographs of a reality that he puts at the center of discussion. In a subtle way these works confront one with questions like 'What is real? What is true?'. Renggli's universe is subversive and disrupts existing order. It is full of ambiguity and humor, and contains surprising references to art history.
