Sims Reed Gallery in conjunction with Guy Hepner Contemporary is showing a carefully selected group of the latest, most interesting prints and photographs by today's leading international artists and photographers. The exhibition, Here. Now which runs from 17th October to 4th November, is being staged to coincide with Frieze, the contemporary art fair now in its third year. The aim of Here. Now is to offer at affordable prices, a taste of the best, most technically sophisticated images on the market. Although many of today' artists are moving away from two dimensional paintings, many are embracing print making and Sims Reed is selling the cream of their work made within the last five years. "Today's prints can be seen as virtuoso performances of technical know-how and we are showing what we consider to be the best and most exciting work of renowned artists such as the award winning Damien Hirst, Rachel Whiteread, Grayson Perry and the Chapman brothers as well as Mark Quinn, Langlands and Bell and Takashi Murakami amongst others" says Max Reed. Complementing the prints is a varied and powerful selection of fashion and contemporary photographs from Guy Hepner Contemporary. "At Here. Now we are showing works by household names such as David Lachapelle, Rankin and Mario Testino. Some galleries might not classify these photographs as works of art in themselves as they have appeared in magazines such as Vogue, but we consider them to be "cutting edge", important and very beautiful" said Guy Hepner. Several are in editions of different sizes and prices will appeal to collectors at all levels. Here. Now is accompanied by a fully illustrated 72 page colour catalogue, and runs for three weeks at Sims Reed Gallery, 23a St James Street, London.
