Art Basel Miami Beach: America's Favorite Art Show From December 6 through 9, 2007, Florida, USA, will be home to the 6th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the celebrated international art show. Art Basel is the favorite winter meeting place of the international art world. 200 galleries from the USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa will be taking part. Chosen by the Selection Committee from a record number of over 850 applicants, the 200 galleries, which include 27 new participants, will present works by over 2,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. The «Art Basel Conversations» panel discussions will feature prominent art-world personalities. The more intimate framework of «Art Salon» will give leading figures from the international art scene an opportunity to present their forthcoming projects. Visitors can also look forward to an exciting program of special exhibitions, visits to private art collections, and crossover events linking art and music, film, architecture, and design.
