A farm located in the eastern cantons, a place he lived his whole life long. Today, for the second time, he was obliged to leave his house. The emptiness in his wake leaves an aura of loss... As if taking stock of what remains. The photographic approach presumes a distance, a highly particular space time. The photographer carries out an inventory with technical equipment that is both cold and direct. Yet through his gaze what ought to have been a mere recording becomes a quest for time, for the past... for a person." Nickla - Armand Quetsch Un homme âgé aujourd'hui de 89 ans, ayant vécu sa vie aux confins de la Belgique. Seul un embrigadement durant la guerre l'extraira de sa petite exploitation agricole. Une ferme située dans les cantons de l'Est, lieu qu'il occupa toute son existence. Aujourd'hui et pour la deuxième fois, il fût contraint de quitter sa maison. Il y a un vide chargé comme une presque disparition. Comme avant un constat. La démarche photographique suppose une distance, un espace-temps tout particulier. Le photographe entreprend un état des lieux accompagné d'un matériel technique froid et direct. Par son regard ce qui ne devait être qu'un enregistrement devient une recherche du temps, du passé...d'un personnage. Armand Quetsch est né à Luxembourg. Il vit et travaille aujourd'hui à Bruxelles. En 2006, il participe à l'exposition 'Traces' à La Cambre Architecture et au 'Projet : BXL' à l'Espace Photographique Contretype. L'exposition 'CO2 : Bruxelles à l'infini', à laquelle il participe, voyage depuis 2006, en passant, entre autres par Cracovie, Paris, Sao Paolo et Bucarest.
