Edward Steichen:
In High Fashion, the Condé Nast Years, 1923–1937

This exhibition, with more than two hundred unique vintage photos, represents a high point in Steichen’s long photographic career. The works that he made throughout this period for the influential magazines Vogue and Vanity Fair are some of the most impressive creations of the twentieth century. Next to the fashion photographs the exhibition contains impressive portraits by celebrities such as Greta Garbo, Cecil B. DeMille, Winston Churchill and Marlene Dietrich. These works have been brought together especially for this exhibition and are being shown for the first time in the Netherlands.
