M97 Gallery is pleased to invite to "Parallax II", a group exhibition of photographic works by M97 artists: Adou, Robert van der Hilst, JIANG Zhi, Michael Kenna, LIANG Weizhou, LU Yanpeng, LUO Dan, MENG Jin + FANG Er, Michael Wolf & YANG Yong. Parallax is the effect whereby the distance between two objects appears to shift when viewed from different vantage points and can help determine an otherwise unknown distance. Following this concept, the second edition of the M97 Parallax survey show places together two or more works by ten artists from varying stages and periods in their career. By taking into consideration the element of time, "Parallax II" highlights the artist's overall oeuvre and creative evolution in terms of subject matter, style and focus, enriching the viewer’s perception and understanding of the artist's progression and greater body of work as a whole.
