Mari Katayama began working as an artist after winning an award at Gunma Youth Biennale ‘05 while still a high school student. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School in 2012, she was awarded the Grand Prix at Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi 2012.
