This exhibition spans from two early works, both dated from 1980, marking his second inclusion in the Whitney Biennial (1981), to the present day. Huang Yan, a native from the Jilin Province in China, now living in Beijing, has been working with the human body over the last decade, drawing from the past in order to comment on and reflect on the present.
