An open and exciting vitality has characterized much of the contemporary Chinese art that I have met while planning this exhibition. Image worlds characterized by ambiguity, configurated experiences that expand the viewer’s sensibility create a tension that is hopefully mirrored in this exhibition: On the Wall – Contemporary Chinese Art.
