Elena Perlino (Italy, 1972) is a documentary photographer covering human issues. Her recent works have been focusing on migration, human trafficking and gender issues.
Her work has been shortlisted for the Magnum Emergency Fund 2013 and 2011.
In 2013 she got the Prix Portfolio ANI at Promenades photographiques, Vendôme, France.
In 2014 her long-term Pipeline will be exhibited in Vendôme, France. In 2015 at Les Rencontres Internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie, Canada.
In 2006 she received a grant from the the Conseil Régional Rhône-Alpes which enabled her to produce a body of work on prostitution in France.
In 2003 Elena was selected to participate in the Reflexions Masterclass, held in Paris by Giorgia Fiorio and Gabriel Bauret.
Elena`s images has been exhibited internationally, in spaces such the Lawndale Art Center in Houston,Texas - the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie, Arles - the Festival Internazionale in Rome - the Museum of Contemporary Art in Genoa - PhotoEspaña in Madrid.
Elena is based in Paris, France.
