Henri Cartier-Bresson »
Images à la Sauvette
Exhibition: 3 Jul 2025 – 5 Jan 2026
For its 18th exhibition, Espace Musées is presenting a unique project designed by the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation for travellers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, from 3 July 2025 to 5 January 2026. Following exhibitions dedicated to Frank Horvat and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, this is Espace Musées' third exhibition dedicated to this major art form.
Passengers departing from this summer until the end of 2025 will have the opportunity to discover some forty iconic photographs by the major photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) in an exhibition retracing his career, his travels, and more particularly what characterises his work: his taste for composition and geometry, combined with his ability to capture the "decisive moment".
The exhibition opens less than a year after the highly anticipated reissue of Henri Cartier-Bresson's seminal work, Images à la Sauvette, and looks back at the genesis of this book, which has become a veritable "bible" for photographers, whose photographs have been seen around the world. An invitation to discover why Henri Cartier-Bresson is nicknamed "the eye of the century".
Espace Musées: Gate M, Terminal 2E, Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Free access, open all days, from 6:00am to 2:00pm.
